With a strong understanding of the systems, processes, and stakeholders we work with across IBM, this represents a natural long-term career path. It allows me to leverage both my broad technical knowledge and my understanding of IBM-specific environments to support service transitions, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Management, Technical Solutions
Everything related to a hybrid workplace, designed from the ground up, mostly around A/V technologies & enablement.
Moving IBM Hungary from three sites under only one roof, by planning, building and populating a new office building in Budapest, Hungary: Corvin7 - Corvin Innovation Campus.
From the barebone plans making out an actual usable office space, filled with technology to suite the changed world and views how work should be done with home-office gaining space. Planning out office spaces was already done and could not be changed but the technological equipment in the meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and visitor area was all dreamt up, fought for and revised by me and later on a couple of other IBMers that joined after the plans actually got approved, making the office actually usable for collaborative work with other locations, including home-offices.
Generally EVERYTHING: Management, technical solutions, general supporting of IT and end-user alike.
Regular Desk-Side Support personal. Focusing on making our own, and our user's life easier with automations, preparations for computer / laptop deployment and management, office-equipment maintenance and event-support.
Standard Desk-Side Support, which – at first glance – might seem like a step back from the previous track I followed.
However.
IBM has offered – and kept its promise on – one thing that I found more valuable than anything else: The chance to actually study, even if in the four years there was no visible progression. They offered not only the materials for professional development but the time as well, which proved to be more valuable than the materials themselves even. Turns out, the best thing that you can offer someone that wants progression is: Time.
After working as a Desktop Support & System Administrator with many additional side-task requiring a deeper knowledge of networks and servers, I was trying to broaden my knowledge base regarding computer systems with this next step, alongside with getting the required and much needed Microsoft certificates to advance in my career. The perfect job to get to know the systems and architecture that bigger companies use. If you do not want to job-jump every now-and-then to meet more and more ways to build up a network like I started to some time ago, this is the perfect way to make a shortcut: In this job I was able to peek into many company's inner workings seeing their up- and downsides, thus building and broadening my own sight and knowledge-base in the subject. Even tho the position itself did not work out for me for several reasons, I spent a valuable time with Humansoft supporting many companies. I could get my first peek into how IT support could, should and should not work.
As the very first IT orientated professional of a logistic company directly present in twelve countries, my duties were in highlights:
After joining this brand new company, I gained the responsibility of:
I always wanted to work teaching others, I have, and I am good at it. I was a private teacher in the past for several children, sometimes even in schools holding afternoon sessions, study-rooms. Now I finally had the chance to work in a school and gain the harshest experiences of my life in this 'industry' in many ways.
I spent a year abroad working to be able to study the language I was unsuccessful mastering during my university studies. Although I haven't fully suceeded this time around either, the basics I learned in this period helped me greatly during my later studies and jobs.
